About the Company
Official Software is a Boston company established in 1997 to develop innovative, powerful and easy-to-use software, online services and IP (intellectual property) management tools for creators and publishers of original works to manage and protect works under the full strength of the law. Official has pioneered intellectual property automation to streamline and simplify the copyright process, management of information and access to professional resources. The Company's first product, Official Copyright™ Software, released in in 1999, received a prestigious award for Best Resource Software at the 16th Annual MacWorld Editors Choice Awards in San Francisco. In June of 2001, the Company launched the first Official Copyright™ automated filing site, and in October of the same year released the follow-up Official Trademark™ Software product line and the fully featured Official Copyright/Trademark IP Suite™.
